Morning all,

I was driving thru France last week and came across a camera that wasn't on the speed camera database.

I quickly saved the location as a favourite, is there a guide as to how I extract the info you need for the submission from the saved favourite?

regards,

greg

Hi,

Sorry for not being clear, it was TomTom v6 running on a PDA.

I think I've found the way to do it now, so in case anyone else is looking.

Assuming you've saved your newly spotted camera as a favourite, then within TomTom Main Menu 2 of 3, hit the browse map button.

Then click the options button and ensure the co-ordinates button is ticked.
Click done
Click the Find button
Click Favourite
Click your newly saved speedcamera

and voila! The camera with the all important long and lat will be displayed which can then be input into the PGP submission form.

regards,

greg

Well done, Greg. That's basically what we would have told you to do, but much better if you can work it out for yourself Thumbs Up

welcome and keep spotting!

hi greg, i just checked out of curiosity and unfortunately you weren't the first - there is another submission for the same camera.

however, the other submission is for 130kph but you have submitted it as 80? were you meaning 80mph (ie approx 130kph)?

if so then for future reference you only need to put in the speed in local format - if in doubt you can always put in the comments field something like "this is 80mph so whatever that is in kph" or similar.

not a problem. just if there are various different speeds submitted then it takes longer to verify!!
