I'm confused, is the upgrade avaialble yet? Other posters obviously have TT3 but I have heard nothing from TT.
On their website it says :
The following e-mail was sent to all registered users of
TomTom Navigator 2 (if you haven‘t registered yet, click HERE):
Well it wasn't sent to me so I registered again but still have received no emails.
I would appreciate if someone could clarify this. |

Hi Guy,
I don't currently own TTN2 and am therefore not currently trying to obtain an upgrade so I can't be 100% sure about this, but I don't think the upgrade is available yet, although I could be wrong.
What I do know is that TTN3 software is available in shops to buy (for about £115) for new users and they have made this available sometime before the upgrade is released.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I hope this answers your question about why other posters seem to already have TTN3 - it's most likely that they are new GPS users who have bought their starter system with this software package.

Dave, could you clarify '..the pre-registration is though' please. The Tomtom site says 'The following e-mail was sent to all registered users of TomTom Navigator 2 ' which is not true because I did not receive a copy. I cannot find anywhere on their site to 'pre-register', am I missing something? There is 'Register for TomTom news', but I did that last year and last week with no result. |

IT DOES NOT SAY THAT
This is what it says:-
"In mid-April you will receive an E-mail from TomTom with a link to the upgrade web site. It will of course also be published on our website www.tomtom.com. " |

It says.....
The following e-mail was sent to all registered users of
TomTom Navigator 2 (if you haven‘t registered yet, click HERE):
....and the link "HERE" is to
http://www.palmtopregister.com/Registrations.nsf/Registration?OpenForm&Platform=CE
I pre-registered and got the e-mail, as I also got one to upgrade to TT2. I would suggest that if you register you will not hear again until mid April as it suggests on the e-mail.

thanks SteveW, so by 'preregistration' you dont mean anything other than the normal registration, I did this when I bought TT1, again when I upgraded to 2 and again 3 weeks ago, looks like TomTom don't like my email address !! |

You will just have to keep an eye on the Tom Tom site, or around here, I am sure it will be talked about. It worked well last year, although a little slow, and the reasons now are clear, from the comments in the e-mail they sent out.

Hows about the first person to receive the email offering the upgrade lets us all know by posting it here?

Upgrade site seems a bit flaky. I can get so far through the sequence of screens but with 2 upgrade items, it puts up an error message every time I try to get to the pay page
