nuvi 770 / nokia 6310i bluetooth connection fails

I'm not sure if this is related to other 7xx bluetooth problems.

I have a nuvi 770 v 3.00 and a nokia 6310i. I can pair the two with no problem so long as they are not both drawing power from the car. If I have the Nokia in the handsfree cradle and the nuvi powered from the cigarette lighter I then continuously get the annoying 'Phone Disconnected' message (which requires that I then press OK - dangerous when driving!) and on the Nokia it shows a message saying 'Disconnect wired accessory'.

1. Is this the same/similar problem that others have been having?

2. Wherein lies the fault, with the phone or the satnav?

3. Is there anything I can do about it (other than not placing the phone in the cradle)?
