|
|
hi
i had a dell x51v and upgraded to tom tom 530t.
now I'm allways jumping in and out the car and there dose not seem to be a quick release holder for the 530 as of yet, now i was wondering if a 520 model holder would fit??.
second question is, i upgraded the map that came with the tom tom and it wiped out my favourites and know the reason why.
thank's for any replys |

First, what do you mean by "quick release". The normal windscreen sucker (which is the same for the 520 and the 530) is pretty quick, but I guess you're looking for a mount with the power connection built in? (and the TMC aerial?).
Brodit *do* make powered mounts for the x30 models. See HERE
As for favourites. They are stored in "MapSettings.cfg". If you did a backup before you got your new map, you should be able to copy it from your old map's folder.
If you didn't do one, you need to read the FAQs on this forum (especially number 1) as a matter of urgency!
(Number 12 gives further info on the favourites issue too)

The Brodit active (powered and slot for the TMC) for the 520T is the same as the one for the 730T and so it will be interchangable between all devices in the x20 and x30 series.
Hope that helps
