Hi
Can anyone advise
my tomtom one will not operate unless its plugged into the cigar lighter.
its only 18 months old could it be the rechargable battery has packed up already ?

It sounds a bit like you've been discharging the battery enough to wear it out (if I read between the lines that your previous practice has been to run it off battery, then recharge, run off battery, recharge).
These devices are not really intended for that sort of thing and I only ever use mine when plugged in, either to the cigar lighter or my desktop connector. _________________ Dennis

Check your Warranty period (its usually buried in one of the files in the "Licences" folder on the device). You may well have two years.
BTW, did you know there's a specific TomTom section of the forum? |
