TT1 v3 Europe camera sounds problem?

Everytime I download the PGPSW speed camera database,my sounds seem to reset to a sort of default setting.

This means I have to reset them to what I prefer.

Anyone else have this problem,and is there a solution to it?

Yes it's a very common issue, often mentioned in the forums.
The "trigger" for the problem is not that you are downloading the new database, but that you are connecting the TomTom ('3rd edition' by the way, not v3) to the computer and possibly that you are letting "Home" run.

It's a pain in the behind, but the workaround is to make a backup copy of the "MapSettings.cfg" file (it is in the folder with your maps name) Keep a copy of that on your PC and also put it in another part of the TomTom's own storage. Then, if it looses the set-ups again you can just copy the backup file back into the map folder..

TomTom either deny it happens or blame "incompatible" third-party POIs (but then they don't release the exact details of what new format they are using for POI files, so it's a bit tricky for anyone to make them any more compatible!)
