Having connecting XDA Orbit (WM6) and TT One (V1) OS 7.162.
I have installed the BT DUN patch as suggested elsewhere, and the TT finds the phone, then advises:
"The required features could not be found for this phone"
Any suggestions, or are the two devices mutually incompatible?
Thanks, Mark |

Delete the connection from both the phone and the TomTom, soft reset the Orbit then try making a connection again, it should work with the WM6 DUN CAB file installed.
As another thought, who is your mobile phone contrct with, is it pay monthly or PAYG and do you have GPRS enabled on the phone (this needs the phone service provider to switch it on at your request, by default it is often disabled just leaving WAP mode available which is known not to work with TomTom) - Mike |

Contract with O2, have both GPRS and I think Edge.
How do I delete the connection at the Tomtom?
I'll try the soft reset and cross my fingers!

The soft reset was all that was needed in the end!
Thanks ;) |

Probably a daft question, I have my XDA set to turn off after 3min, obviously it still receives phonecalls and sms during this time, and wakes up from standby.
Is the TT still able to connect and "wake up" the XDA, or will I have to leave the XDA on, with screen on and drain the battery for my traffic updates? |

If the phone and Bluetooth are still powered up (which they are in standby) then it will work, the screen doesn't need to be active, so long as you only turn off the screen (short press of the power button) it will be fine.
De-powering the phone completely needs you to press and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds, once it is off it will not receive calls etc - Mike |
