Firstly, New to the forum and new to TomTom. So if im posting in the wrong forum or its a dumb question please excuse.
My question is: when im using the hands free with my sonyericsson k800i it works just fine, calls receive fine texts are read out no problem, thing is if i want to use TTTraffic and or update speed camera the hands free is disconnected and only reconnects back to hands free if i do it manually, is there a way of the tomtom automatically switching between hands free and data? or is it a phone issue?
Thanks..
ps the phone is set to connect automatically and it does on start up. Apart from when i use data it don't flick back to hands free. |

Hi Stevo.
This is a phone issue. I used to have to same problems with my Nokia 6230i. It's due to the fact that you only have one Bluetooth channel on your phone and no control method of autoselecting what has the use of that channel at any given time.
I suppose the question to ask yourself is "Which is more important?". What I mean by that is, do you really need constant traffic updates? This isn't usually necessary. I usually update TT Traffic every 2/3 hours. leaving you free for voice calls. So a minimum number of reconnects.
Although I have to say, my new Nokia N73 reconnects data automatically after a voice call. (I just don't have the bluetooth voice via TT facility). On the old nokia I had to switch of my B/T headset to allow data receipt. but not anymore. The phone does it automatically.
Hope you can find the right solution that suits you.

What you could do is go into the bluetooth settings on your phone and select the (Trust,Allow,Authorise) or words to this effect for your TomTom and this will let your phone go straight back to the hands free function straight after the data function without having to ask you to re-connect.
