I've just bought a TomTom ONE Classic which came with just the UK on the SD card.
I've put in a 4gb SD card, but the TomTom only seems to think that it has a 2gig card in it.
Is it possible to get a large capacity SD card - I have all of the USA which is on a 1gig card that works fine on my Mio but I cant get it to work with my TomTom. Ideally, I'd like to get all of my maps on one card - am I asking for the impossible??

Lots of posts about this, but I'm giving up telling people to use the search facility as my New Years Resolution....
The older TT models can only reliably use 2GB cards. There are a couple of 4GB cards are known to work, but most 4GB and larger cards use a different technology called SDHC with DOESN'T work in any TT except the 520/720/920 models.
Transcend and Topram are two manufacturers who make non-SDHC 4GB cards, but you need to check carefully before you buy. |

Mio maps don't work on TomTom devices. TomTom maps work only on one device, the device for which the map was legally bought/paid for.
Trying to use them on any other device comes under the description of piracy, I'm afraid - please don't do it (and please don't ask here how to do it). _________________ Dennis

, missed that bit... I only read it as the CARD working on the Mio, not that you wanted the MAP to work on the TomTom.
Not gonna happen.... |

But it could be a USA map for TomTom that was running on a Mio PDA device?? - it probably still won't work due to the version numbers though - Mike |
