Problems downloading POIs with combined sub-categories

Hi,

I'm trying to download POIs from pocketgpsworld and combine sub-categories into the category file. This works fine for some categories, but there are others that I simply can't download e.g. Accomodation. If I try to include Accomodation in my selection, the download page simply appears blank and no download starts. I've read elsewhere that this is a known bug if the number of sub-categories is more than 22. Can anyone confirm that this is the case and, if so, are there any workarounds (short of missing out sub-categories) or plans to fix the bug?

I can confirm that is the way it is (but not why).

The workround is simply to download in batches of 20 or so and then use POI Edit to merge the smaller files into one big one.

I think POI Manager from "oldie" on here will do a similar job too.

Thanks for the tips on workarounds. I guess there aren't any plans to fix this on the website though. :-( It's probably worth updating the page to warn people about the problems and advise on how to get around them.
