You said they were working on this! But where is the update? Latest Nuvi 660 is 15 June on Garmin website, as far as I can see. |

I can't decide whether to upgrade my main GTM unit or not, and would be interested to hear people's opinions - especially those who had their GTM10 subscription problem fixed by Garmin...

Is it traffic software that cannot be rolled back? |

It is indeed. I'm already on a version very close to 4.30, and I'm not happy with it, but I suppose I've not got much to lose by upgrading as my traffic coverage is already less than I had a few months ago. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Hi, I installed it and as far as I can see it has not made much difference. Certainly still hunts through all the channels for ages.
Cheers

Is anyone suffering from "Check your TMC receiver" messages which occur and stay on screen for a few seconds with either v4.3 or v4.4 GTM firmware?
I've heard a few reports of people suffering from these messages, but wanted to know what people were experiencing before I start recommending these GTM updates to everyone? _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Ive had this message once since updating this week. I never had it before. More worrying is that 3 days running now my Nuvi 660 has lost satellite reception completely even on the M1! it usually returns after a couple of minutes but watching the satellite map it loses all satellites so I am sure its the Nuvi and not external. Interestingly the TMC still worked! rather ironic I had green light TMC but no GPS. |

Updated to 4.3 on Wednesday last week prior to going away for a long weekend in the country. No problems/strange messages with GTM21/660 combo. Had coverage from home (nr Jn20 M6) to destination (field just off Jn 8 M40) both ways. _________________ Phil |

Yes I'm getting it on my 2720 with GTM - no traffic data being received and this message popping up. I'm using version 4.40

I was getting this on my 360T. Garmin Tech Support advised me to do a reset to factory defaults which fixed the problem. I can't remember how to do it as they talked me through it. It was something like turn on while holding the top right corner of the screen. |

I upgraded to version 4.40 this week and yesterday travelled from Reading to Hemel Hempstead. M4 J10 - M25 J20 - A41. Seemed to have coverage the whole way and it correctly flagged 4 miles of slow traffic between M25 J18 and J20.
On the return trip it probably took about 5 - 10 mins to aquire the traffic messages whilst sitting in Hemel.
I have a Nuvi 310D with GTM12. It's worth saying I seem to be one of the lucky few that has had reasonable successs with the TMC but then I only do a regular commute plus weekend trips so I am not a heavy user.

I am getting the check traffic receiver message quite a bit with the latest GTM software version. Does it just mean you are not receiving a TMC signal - or has it got deeper meanings? |
