|
Ive read that you can install IGO 2006 plus software on the Myguide 3100.
Can anyone let me know the way to do it like a guide or send me a link?
I have a myguide 3100 arriving this week and i'd like to be able to use the igo updates for POI and such.
Many thanks.

Hi doughy,
I have just received one of these units and the installed software looks identical to iGO 2006 Plus.
The POI's and speedcams work fine with it. |

Just connect the unit to your pc (needs active sync installed).
Browse the unit (explore).
Go to:
\Flash Disk\MyGuide\POI\SPEEDCAM
And drop the text files in there.
Hope this helps. |

Following on from this, I've recently been given one of these and the mapping seems to be about 3 years old (based on the fact that my son's 2½ year old house isn't included though it is on the discontinued Garmin i3 unit) - anyone know if there's an upgrade available for the mapping and will any iGO update be fully compatible with the MyGuide 3100? |

Hi, I just bought one of these units and have noticed the maps are out of date from changes to roads years ago!
Anyone know where to get new maps from?
The Myguide website is rubbish and support is non-existent! I had a problem 2 weeks ago connecting the unit to a PC and emailed them for an answer. I sent 4 emails and have had no response!!
I subsequently found out that you need ActiveSync 4.5 installed to get access to the SD Card.
Please, someone help with the maps :o) |

Im still looking out for maps but i have managed to make my Myguide 3100 into a movie player, i edited the addon txt on the sdcard and i now have a button called explorer and Multimedia on the first screen. I got the multimedia application from a myguide 3000 pna update and then reflashed it back with the cd my gps came with. After that the applications were still there. |
