Bluetooth Audio Streaming Head units what works

Hi all as TomTom have now dropped the Bluetooth Car connect idea we need to find Car stereos that will do the same thing

I.e. Bluetooth Audio stream from the TomTom’s MP3 player

Both devices need to be A2DP Bluetooth compliant but as this is TomTom things are never that simple.

So far

Sony MEX-BT2500
TomTom will not find this device and so won’t connect “But it should as both are A2DP devices”

Sony MEX-BT5000
TomTom will not connect to this as stated on forum “But it should as both are A2DP devices”

Pioneer DEH-P75BT
TomTom finds this head unit but will not accept the passcode from it “But it should as both are A2DP devices”


We need to pester TomTom support as the problem seems to be with the software on the Go's as it must have been locked to the Car connect system that is not going to be made available you know like the Bluetooth GPS receiver was on the first iPac TomToms

Has anybody got this working on a car head unit I know how to do it with the 3.5mm jack plug….
