I'm having problems using the Mio update prog - I don't know if anyone can help.
The program keeps returning the fact that 0K will be downloaded and YY X will be uploaded to the device in respect of the Miomap.exe prog and one of the maps which is already on the device. I obviously don't need to update files that are already in the device so why does the update prog keep offering to update the files (without needing to actually download anything)?
If I clear the cache I then get an error telling me that the files cannot be uploaded to the device and the update prog then ends.
The update prog seems to use a log file to tell it which files should be in the cache even if those files have been manually deleted from the cache.
If I uninistall the prog and delete all cache files I then find that the update prog wants to download all the map, voice and prog files from scratch.
Yes, there is a file whose name escapes me at the mo, but contains what it has downloaded. By just deleting the downloaded file it still thinks they are local to upload and, as you found, they are not there so it complains. By deleting the lot you took out that status file so it will want to download *everything* again.
Now files other than the exe seem to be downloaded or not depending on last write dates, I could be wrong, but the exe & associated files like the speedcams seem to be *always* downloaded again. Even if it just updated the Mio - Perhaps, WAG, that set of files is taken as one lump and the speedcams file gets synced so often it is always "new" :-) _________________ Mio C710 on MioMap 3.3

Thanks I'll try to find which file contains the data.
It's annoying that the exe file, data.zip and speedcam file is updated every time with the same files.
