|
|
Hi,
I have the French maps in addition to the English one's pre-loaded (THANK-YOU, AGAIN...you know who!! :P )
I've created a sub-folder on the card, installed the maps...but no joy.
The Gopal does know that there is data on the card, it threw it's dummy out- when I took out the card-whilst the nav software was running.
There isn't enough room to install to the internal memory without removing the pre-loaded maps.
I suspect that I would have to remove the UK maps from the Flashdrive & load/run all from the SD card.
Anyone out there who can help?
PLEASE!! :D
Cheers

We have 2 Medion PDAs in the house and use maps for France and Spain
as well as the UK one. I connect the PDA to the PC and Active Sync starts running and you can load maps from the CDs or if you just have files you can drag and drop into the SD card in the PDA. You don't have to set up folders in advance. Of course if you have a different machine then just ignore me! |

Nope, I won't ignore you..., I appreciate the response.
Pls note that this is a PNA though, not a PDA (there could well be little difference in the mechanicals- mind you).
I might remove all the UK files from the PNA & stick on the SD card.
If it goes the shape of a pear, I can put them back.
Cheers

Summat's up...or I'm being a bit thick...
Have reloaded maps (without folder) onto SD card.
Verified through activesync using pc/Gopal.
Reset Gopal.
French mainland now indicated, as are speed camera warnings BUT no roads.
Gone in Nav settings, only countries selectable UK & Ireland.
V confused......

I use the PNA 350 ithink it is, not too good on the pld numbers.
Its the one asda was selling.
I got a 2gb sd card and copied the one that came with it onto the new card and just copied all my europe ones onto it as well.
I think there is a folder there called maps already.
Just copy them into that.
Then had to do a restart by the little button on the back and it then reloads all its software again.
When its done go to the 'change map' in settings to the one you want.
Hope that helps.
