:D Well after searching high and low, and reading all your posts about dash mounts for a 910, I tracked down a supplier of the ARAT system. ordered mine from Germany and fitted it last night, photos and details to follow if anyone is interested, I'm going to order another one for the family car.
It is a 2 part system that also requires the temporary sacrifice of the original suction mount (can be reversed) and the main mount is concealed fixing to the dash via vent etc, car type dependant - similar to the Brodit system, but not compatible -
I'll pop a few piccy's up this weekend.

Interesting: How easy was it to fit the mount onto the car? Can we have some more pics?

Hi

My Dashboard mount is far simpler, I bought an adhesive mounting plate form a supplier called 'Lindens' on Ebay'

The suction mount justfits on as it would to the Windscreens.

Cheers
David

Hi, Each mount is unique for vehicle type, in this instance it involved 3 parts, I've included some links to some German pdf's
1. The dash mount - Remove center air vent, mount screws into the internal duct of the air vent, push vent back into dash** see note 2.
http://www.handytreff.biz/pdf/artikel/AH.NS1294.pdf
2. Ball and socket, screw ball to vent mount - I found it best to do this before pushing vent back into dash.

3. Dissasemble tomtom mount, use torx screwdrivers, mount tomtom mount onto ARAT mount using srews provided. I used my old tomtom mount and this appears to work okay, leaving my new mount to be used as required. http://www.handytreff.biz/pdf/artikel/AH.NS1574_3.pdf

problems -
1. Vent mounting screws were to long and prevented my vents from fully shutting - Dremel to the rescue :D So i gave them a trim and all is well
2 Mounting ball to dash mount requires drilling (with in my case 3.7mm bit) to enable screws to secure ball to dash mount, therefore best done out of car.
3 ARAT recomend that you make a hole in the top of the vent fascia to allow the cable to come through, however I thought that this might be difficult to replace to I opted to butcher a dummy switch cover.

Time taken - It took me an hour to fit the whole thing, and if I'd have know some of the stuff that I've put up here it would have taken 15-20mins less
It took me a couple of hours to route all the cables.
Best thing of all it brings the tomtom closer to user, great for the handsfree kit, and the use of the juke box. Laughing
