Hi all,
How do I get cross border navigation to work on D6?
All I seem to be able to do is select one map or the other, what am I missing?
From Destinator website

You have to install the EURoads_EW_AD map and at least two other country-maps. _________________ D7

I tried this last month when visiting Bavaria with our motorcaravan. Travelling from the UK (ferry to Amsterdam) I loaded Benelux, Germany and Alps maps plus major roads for Europe. Sitting just outside the ferry terminal at Imjuiden, I keyed in the post code for a campsite on the Rhine just south of Koblenz. D6 took a while to calculate the route (IPAQ 2210) but eventually issued instructions, having loaded the Benelux map. When we crossed into Germany, the map switch over was almost seemless. I say almost because as we approached the change over point there seemed to be a bit of a gap in the map display and for a while we were 'offroad' but it soon picked up the road again.
Worked in a similar fashion on the way back. We travelled around 1600 miles and D6 worked really well. |

I have Destinator 6 loaded in my Mio 168 with maps for North America, plus Major Roads. However, I can not navigate to an address located in one of the other maps. When I click "mode" and "in another map", I get an empty screen where the maps should be listed (USA5, USA7, etc.) I know the maps are loaded correctly because I can load them and select them individually. Is there a setting in the destinator.ini file I can change? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance. |
