|
|
Now that TT has come out with V6.11 of the frimware the unit will not auto power off when you turn your car off.
The only disabled the auto power off and not the auto power on, so when you turn your car on the Tom Tom 910 powers on but will not power off unless you manual push the power button. What a pain !!!
I hope TT is going to put the auto power off function back in and make it a user selectable item from a menu.
I have not had any issues with the mount so I liked the auto power off feature.
If anyone wants to re-enable this fuction you have to down grade your firmware to V6.020 |

Simply Restore your original backup and you will have your original application.
You did make a backup? |

I don't think this is viable as there have been other (very minor) additional updates for the mobile phone connectivity and the satelite positional data that my unit appears to download each time I let it. If you roll back to the previous version, you cannot allow the unit any updates at all, or it will simply overwrite the TomTom version you want, I don't think there is a way of selective updates - Mike |

After I installed the new firmware I decided to restore it back to the original version without any problem.
TomTom Home kept asking me if I would like to install the latest update, but I said no to it.
On the TomTom Home display on computer, the "My Computer" has the new application to install, and on the "My Go 910" has the old Version.
I have chopped and changed several times and I am now on the 6.11 version.
I made 2 back ups:
One of the V6.020 and one of the V6.110 |

Do you know of a working link for the UK version, MELennium?
Also do you know what the difference might be in the actual firmware, if any? |

I got the uk version from a thread from either this site or PGPSWorld forum, I just can't remember but the uk version did seem to work better & get a better gps signal. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

I have the same problem with my 910. The manual says it will turn off when it senses the power has turned off. Hopefully they will fix this soon - my wife never remembers to turn it off when she reaches her destination. |
