|
|
Went to France yesterday and thought I was all set for going to Belgium until I found my i3 would not recognise any of the places in beligum (not even brussels!).
Before I set off, I send data from my "City Navigator Europe v8" software for France, Belihum and Netherlands. It was around 350 mb which I put onto my microSD card. It all looked ok to me as the data was on the card for sure but when I got there it didnt want to know anything about bleigum or even Paris !
I dont know if this is due to fault of my own but I basically put the microSD into a card reader, opened up mapsource city navigator Europe v8, highlighted what I wanted on the card, and chose "Send to Device ..." from the Transfer menu. It all looked fine when transferred. Now I dont know if I needed to activate anything on the device or else where but I just put the card in and when I started up the i3 I get a quick progress bar (green one) at the beginning ... I am assuming this is when its reading the card.
Can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong or am omitting.
Thank you |

i've never had to try this but i THINK that you need to have the i3 connected with the micro-sd card inserted and load maps via the i3 rather than directly to the sd card... |

Again, not speaking from direct experience, that's how I thought it should be done as well. _________________ Chas

You can check to see whatmap sets are active on your i3.
Go into settings, select MAPS, scroll down to MAPSOURCE and if your transferred maps are active you should see two options ticked, one is the base map set within your i3 and below that should be the map sets you transferred over from your PC to the SD card.
Make sure both options are ticked.
I managed to transfer my map sets to the SD card and when installed into the i3 I do see two map set options available as stated above.
