hi people i am fairly new to the hole camera thing. could you advise me which camera database to download so that i'm fully covered in the uk and france.

It would help a lot if you could tell everyone what satnav unit or software package you are using. We could then suggest which version of the database would work for you.
UK cameras and a few foreign locations are available on this site. If you go to the "Search" function at the top of the page and enter "Cameras France" or similar and search just this section of the forum, you will find the recent discussions on where to find a French camera database. |

Any of the UK camera databases would work - either fully consolidated, seperated by camera type or reperated by camera type and speed. You could put those and the french ones you find either here (limited number) or on other sites. But beware the TT has a limit of 39 custom POIs. After that it randomly removes (or refuses to deal with) any above that number

| Also be aware that the use of speed camera detection/ warning devices is illegal in a number of countries on the continent - there have been reports of devices being confiscated by the French authorities, we wouldn't want you to get prosecuted or loose your equipment - Mike |

Yes. It will work on all TomTom Devices.

Yes. It will work on all TomTom Devices. |

Are you now referring to the Spoken Warnings that go with the Camera Database? If so you need http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php
Then choose the File that matches the V5.20 (xxxx) that matches your Device.
The instructions are on the same page.
