|
|
I've ben having trouble getting POI capture to work and although tom's still working,, (not poi cap) I would like to get tom back to its original state.
reset button or reset fac defaults dosent totally clear all thats been added and all ive *********** up, so can it be done. I'm determined to conquer and then share my sucess with this capture by virtue of screen shots etc coz it seems that the directions given, although possibly correct, are maybe having different effects on different tom toms. What we really need i think is a screen shot/s of a working tom tom with pics of the folders that are altered by the downloads and what they should contain.
Thanks,, Frosty. |

First of all, which TomTo have you got?
Did you do a Full Backup when you had the TT new? The main thing is, do you have a Full Copy of the Maps?
This, and probably much more, we will need to know if we are to help you.;) _________________ Richard

If you are sure you have the Full Backup (I believe it's about 1.3GB) then you need to connect the 700 to the PC and Format the 700.
After that you need to Copy the Backup to the 700. It will take some time, as you found out when you did the Backup. _________________ Richard

Nope, as stated. I foolishly didnt back up when new, only since i added the poi cap software, 1 speed cam database and new voices, so i have a back up of sorts but i really did want to start afresh, (having learned lesson) , I suppose what im really saying then is, does anyone now what folders are present on tom 700 when its new?

As I don't have a 700, I shall have to pass on that.
I could guess but I don't want to get you into a bigger muddle. _________________ Richard
