Hi all,
I have just got a new TomTom One and, while it is a fantastic unit, the mounting seems very clumsy in that it is almost impossible to remove the unit from the windscreen bracket.
Surely TomTom don't expect you to leave it permanently in your vehicle, or to go through the hassle of removing the entire bracket every time you leave the vehicle. I previously used the HP Navigation Kit (Ipaq rz1710) and it was a simple case of slide in/slide out.
Any ideas or am I missing something?
Thanks.

Hi
I had the same prob.
But I just slip it in but not all the way.
The first time I tried to take it out... the One went to the back seat of my car
Cheers,

No such issues with mine, perhaps it loosens over time? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren,
No idea... but if you slide it all the way down on the mounting clip until it clicks into place, it's as good as permanently installed. And I wouldn't want to risk taking out the windscreen every time I leave the vehicle! Lol.
I'm going to go to a place today which does car kits, etc, and see if they can get a mounting plate and bracket.
Thanks.

Brodit have two ONE specific clips, one of them has Power built-in.
