|
|
I have seen numerous threads asking if you can turn of the Speed Camera alerts once loaded to the i3 but the answer was always to either reload the poi omitting the speed camera location files or to load a empty poi file to get rid of the poi altogether.
A simpler way and one where you can turn them on and off and still have the full Poi loaded in the i3 is to turn of the proximity alerts. This can be done as follows:
Settings>navigation>proximity alerts and turn them off there!
Hey Presto, no greif from the other half about your new gadget going Bong all the time, you can save that for when you are on your own!
And of course you can turn them back on using the same method
COULD THIS BE ADDED TO FAQ? _________________ i3 2.70(went to 2.82,3.0,3.1 but downgraded) with V8 map on microSD card

i hadn't... i'd seen plenty asking how to remove poi files but not to turn off the camera ones... kinda defeats the object of having them though if you turn off proximity alerts!

I agree but youre not married to my wife. At least this option saves me from an earbashing when she's in the car!!!!!! _________________ i3 2.70(went to 2.82,3.0,3.1 but downgraded) with V8 map on microSD card
