transfering and upgrading SD card?

Hi - need a bit of help before i attempt this!

Had the Classic TTG for a year or so and its been fine on the 128mb card, but now its getting a bit full!

Can anyone recommend a good cheap but reliable 512SD card for the TTG Classic?

I want to back up the whole 128mb card (onto my PC?) and then transfer everything over to the new 512mb card, but put the latest software (Im on the 5.1 software still) and the new Speed camera's etc.

Is there a simple step-by-step solution to backing up and transfering to a new card?

Secondly what will i notice from my TTG Classic on 5.1 software up to the
latest 5.420 software? Is it quicker to lock onto satellites from "cold"? - as thats all thats wrong with 5.1 for me?

All Sd Cards are cheap at the moment.

I've used Kingston and Byte-Stor and both work with no trouble.

The best way to Backup to to select everything on the SD Card, Copy and Paste to a Folder on your PC. You can Have a Folder ready for this, probably called TomTom.

I would Copy this back to the new card first, to make sure it runs OK. Then do the upgrade.

V5.420 doesn't bring much to the Classic other than the restoration of the 39 POI limitation. I don't know about any quicker sat. lock times.
