There seems to be various posts cropping up with people having issues with our SiRF III based receivers and using them whilst out walking or hiking.
If you are one of these people then you should switch off static navigation mode within these receivers to solve your problem.
To switch off static navigation click here to download a small PocketPC application.

| Please have a read of this, http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=33540 I have tried the application and it is fine for 2003SE based devices but hangs when tried on WM2005 (O2 Exec) - it will not complete the GPS unit switching back to NMEA mode and leaves it in SiRF, - easy fix run up TT3 GPS driver and use that to switch back - Mike |

How can this switching be achieved on a windows smartphone? I have a C500 and intend upgrading to a C600 (WM5) in the Spring.

How do you switch back if you don't have TT? Is the TT GPS driver readily available for download? |

| I've looked everywhere but cannot find the TT3 GPS driver. If it can be installed seperately from TT than can someone please PM me with it. I want to make sure my 236 is in NMEA mode. |

| You can get the GPS driver from this site http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=13 (its in the downloads section), if the software works as it should do you don't need to switch the unit back to NMEA it will do it on its own. It certainly does this on my XDAIIs (WM2003SE), the problem of not switching back is only on my WM2005 equipped Exec. Mike |

Thanks. I installed the driver, but how are you supposed to use it? 
Do I set it to NMEA 0183v2 38400? Also, I can only set my com ports to 6 or 7 but those are not offered in the port drop down. |
