I have been running TTN 2.4 very successfully on my iPAQ 3850 with the iPAQ Navigation System GPS jacket (Navman 3000).

Unfortunately I sufferred a full battery drainage and have had to re-install TTN. The installation appeared straightforward, and I have activated the software.

Since then, whenever I connect the iPAQ to the GPS sleeve I get an error message "Unrecognized Card" saying there is an unknown card in Socket 2, and asking me to enter a name for the device driver for the card.

Anyone have any ideas please?

Ok, firstly what you want to do is go and purchase Pocket Backup from Sprite Software. It's $20 and will get you out of this problem in the future. You can backup the entire main memory of your iPAQ either to storage card (about 30mb) if you have space free, or to your PC. This you can then restore and it will put your iPAQ back to how it was prior to the battery drain. It's an invaluable tool, and well worth the money, and has got me out of the sticky smelly stuff about 30 times!

The reason why you're getting the above error is that the Navman requires a driver installed to the Pocket PC to accept the sleeve. Without this you can't use the socket on the sleeve you'll get an "unrecognised card".

You have to do one of two things. Either install CoPilot that came with the iNS sleeve which will include the driver, or (and I'm not sure if this will work) but you can also get a driver from Navman that you can install (it's not on their website anymore).
