|
|
After using TT3 i've had no prob's. But now using TT5 i cannot get it to list a com port 7 for my BT globalstat 308 receiver. I have tried port 5, 6 & 8 as they're the only 1's that are listed, but it wont find my receiver.
I can connect ok in the bluetooth manager showing a perfect reception.
(Using Fujitsu Siemens LOOx 410)
any idea's.
Thanks. |

your TT3 GPS driver is probably hiding the port. Uninstall that driver.
By the way, it doesn't have to be COM7: - whatever the BT settings show as outgoing serial port needs to be used. _________________ Lutz

It's a new PDA. TT3 was on the old 1.
BT settings show : Inbound Port 8. Outbound Port 6.
Only it wont find the BT receiver on either of them? |

you MUST use COM6 then.
It probably doesn't find the receiver because you have set it to SiRF protocol with TTN3. TTN5 only understands NMEA, and you need to reprogram the receiver to NMEA. _________________ Lutz

Am i right in thinking that it just needs to be left switched on for 48 hrs after the battery has completely exhausted & then it resets back to factory settings?
If i done that would it work then? Only the BT-308 is supposed to be NMEA compatible isn't it?
Fanx.
