Iīve just started using TomTom5 on my Ipaq and was wondering if there is a way to write in X-Y cordinates on the map and get a tour to them.

Im not shure that the program solve my problems.
I live in sweden and we donīt use the N / E cordinates, we use X-Y system (donīt know what the name of it is, but hopefully you understand it anyway)
Is there a way to convert from the N, E to X, Y?

Have a look at http://www.franson.com
and look for CoordTrans. It's available both for PC and Pocket PC
It will support the Swedish Grid based on RT90
i.e. that is the X/Y reference you are talking about

Read your post a bit more
Please all experts, feel free to correct me if I describe this wrong :D
You enter coordinates in TT by using Latitude and Longitude, i.e. North / East
and you can use that also in Sweden. It is the WGS84 format
But you are right that some is refereing to a location using the Swedish Grid system and they refer to it by using X/Y
For instance STF is using RT90
So to enter a location in TT you have to convert the X/Y to N/E and that's where CoordTrans can assist
Maybe you can find it better descibed in some FAQ or at Franson _________________ TomTom GO LIVE Camper & Caravan, Fugawi ENC |
