|

Hi all
hopefully this question will get the answer I'm hoping for. I currently have TTM5 running very nicely on an SPV C500. This is my personal phone, however I have just changed jobs and have been given a work phone, which is a nokia 6600. What I want to be able to do is use my tomtom software on the Nokia as well as SPV. Tomtom states both phones as compatible - but do they require different software? I have copied my installation from my MiniSD card to the MMC for Nokia, using a card reader but phone does not recognise the exe.
What am i doing wrong - or is this just not possible? |

The original TomTom Mobile SD card comes with installations for both MS Smartphone and Symbian. They use different executables, but look at the same data.chk file.
If your Nokia doesn't see the TTMobile program then you must have messed around with the original SD card. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the reply, as far as I am aware the only messing around I have doen with the card, was installation of the voice alerts for the speed cameras and also some extra POIs.
The only executable I have is TomTom MOBILE.exe what is the symbian file I seem to be missing? |

Should be something .APP or .APX , in a separate folder. Don't have the card at hand but can look at it later. _________________ Lutz

the folder is called \system\apps\ttmobile and the file is ttmobile.appx - plus some other DLLs etc. _________________ Lutz

If you put the card in the Nokia, it should show an icon on the menu,
Run TomTom from the menu icon and this will run the correct file,

note when you copy the file over the 'system' folder may not be visiable unless you select 'show hidden files and folders' in 'folder options' in 'control panel' |
