PDA Charging

Has anyone got any knowledge of this holder a Silver Shield PDA Amplified Speaker Mount & Cradle for GPS Navigation.
When I use mine, the battery seems to drain on my pda (ipaq 3715) and doesn't charge. I have a tomtom receiver attached which works well. The pda is receiving some power but not enough. If I just use another pda holder and a copy receiver it charges lovely so I can only think its the amplified speaker mount.
