xda IIs + TT5 I car't type text

Can anybody help me please, Ive just upgraded my xda IIs and when i try to navigate, I have no on screen qwerty(key board) the only way I can type in text is through the external keypad. I did not have this problem with tom tom3, Please help

I have the same device, if you go onto the tom tom website and download the 5.10 update for navigator 5, this will give you the on screen soft keyboard necessary.
