Destinator 3 - Transferral To Another SD Card

Hello All

Well I have my ACER 35 with D3 and I'm over the moon with it.

My only gripe is that it comes on a 256 card so no room for MP3, compressed movies and other nice to haves.

So I want to copy D3 onto a larger card AND MAKE IT WORK.

I can copy D3 from the original card to my new card easily. However, when I go to launch, I get the message that the UK map is not loaded or is damaged. I don't know why this would be the case it's a direct copy.

So, has anyone transferred D3 from one card to anothert and succesfully got it working? If so, how?

Well, it wasn't a direct copy then. When you copy the info off the card make sure your Windows File explorer is not hiding system files.

It contains folders '2577' and 'DestinatorApps'. Should there be something else there then?

If so, how do I reveal these hidden files/folders (I couldn't find any options in explorer)???

I've copied my files to another SD card, same size and it works ok. I keep the original in case I screw up doing something silly with the PPC. I'm not sure how to attach a file to this reply so I,ve tacked it on at the bottom. Hope it helps. Incidentally, I've had the same error message. Took the card out whilst PPC is still on, re-inserted and its worked.

My Destinator3 SD card contains 2 folders, '2557' and 'DestinatorApps'.

2577 contains 2 files:-
Autorun.exe.
Destinator.cab (3,873kb).

The DestinatorApps folder contains the folder 'UK_Ireland'. This contains the following files:-

Rural.dat (5kb)
WCE.txt (1kb)
wce_A.dat (64869kb)
wce_A.map (62587kb)
wce_A.poi (1377kb)
wce_A.tab (57655kb)
wce_A.trl (1kb)
wce_b1.dat (3979kb)
wce_b2.dat (3244kb)

If I do a hard reset, put the card in, Destinator sets up and runs fine. I got my copy of Destinator on a 256 mb SD card when I bought the PPC. I've backed the card up to the hard drive, copied it to a new card and that works fine as well. Hope this lot is of some help to you.
