Hi, waiting for my tomtom go 300 to come, can any tell me where the antenna is (in the base of the holder as there is a multipin plug there !!)
I am thinking of putting the unit to the right hand side on the windscreen near the post, but not sure I will get a good signal.
thanks

The built-in antenna is at thr top of the unit, there is also a connector at the bottom for an external antenna. |

If you already have a GO checking the signal is easy - go to the GPS Status screen. You will see grey and/or blue bars showing the satellite numbers and corresponding signal quality. Compare the values outside and inside the car. |

Most car windscreens do not affect reception. The most common ones to have problems are the French cars with the athermic windscreens. These are the ones that look blue/purple from outside. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
