I have a TTG 300 and currently have the GB maps.
I am also planning to buy the maps of France on SD card when it comes out.
I have taken a backup copy of my GB maps SD card onto my computer and will do the same with the French maps when I get them.
My question is:
I plan to put both of these on the same SD card.
Is it a simple task of copying the contents of both SD cards from my computer onto the new, larger SD card, or do I have to do a bit more than this ?
i.e. do some files/directories have the same names and end up overwriting each other leading to a SD card that does not work for Brance or GB maps.
Many thanks In Advance.

the maps reside in different folders, so a simple copy operation will do the trick. _________________ Lutz

The files in the Root of the Drive will be overwritten, but as these are the Program files it's not a problem. You just need to select the map you want to use first. _________________ Richard

Matello - more to do with map upgrades but just a word of warning on buying individual maps. I have the GB map which came with my unit (classic) and purchased a seperate France map on Sd card. The recent map upgrades caused me an issue in that I was not allowed to upgrade to Maps Of Western Europe at the discounted €49 but was locked into a double upgrade at every issue costing me €158. The only option TT would give was wait until the release of MOWE and buy it and I could then upgrade like everyone else for the reduced fee. Thanks guys!
It was slightly cheaper to buy my France map (8months ago by about £20) than the MOWE but in the long run I would now have sitting pretty instead of being stuffed with the double upgrade for ever.
Just something for you to consider. You can still copy the individual maps onto SD card. |

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not too fussed about GB upgrades, the France ones will be more useful to me.
Thanks for the advice though. |
