speed settings ?

Hi to everyone great site this is guys... I was just wondering I have had my navman icn 510 for just a few weeks now. speed option: you can set the speed to what you like 30 40 50mph ? and navman warns you with a sound. but if you set it for 30mph so you keep within a safe driving speed, anything over that navman warns you. even if you are on the motorway. Q.1 what is the purpose of this funtion ? Q.2 could it be set for local roads to be set at 30mph and motorways to be set at 70mph. look forward to be enlightened. 8O Idea

1. The purpose is so you are aware of when you go over the speed limit you have set - basically a reminder.

2. It can only be set for one speed at a time. I have mine set at 80 so it reminds me when I'm speeding!
