Copying Updated map to 512Mb Sd card

Hi there all, I've had my TTG for about 6months or so with no problems, until now.....

I bought a 512Mb card so I could add more POIs and before the update came out I had postcodes.

I have now received my update and can not copy the data from the new card to my 512Mb card.

It seems to copy ok, but when turned on TTG says that there is no map

I have even tried deleting my old card and adding everything from scratch, but this doesn't work.

I then tried using the new card to backup on my PC and then resore to the 512Mb card but still no joy? Any ideas???

Also when I copied over my favourites and settings from my old card (remembering to rename the file) not all my favourites were there, it had removed a few of them.

If you are using Windows, make sure that you select Show Hidden Files in Folder Options.

I presume that the update SD card works!!

If you click on the SD card in either the TTG or on a Card Reader then Select All then Copy to a temporary folder on PC.

Change SD cards and reverse the process - Copy everything back.

If it fails, make a note of any error messages.

I'va managed to do it. I just did exactly what i was doing from a differnt PC and it worked - very strange.

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.

Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
