I need an amplified mount to put my iPAQ 2210 into an Audio A4. Having read the reviews, I cannot decide between the Brodit and Arkon units. Any thoughts?

Get a Brodit, Arkon are nowhere near as good quality. You owe it to your Audi and the result will be an OEM quality install Smile

I have a Brodit 2210 Amplified Mount, see here.

Darren

Out of interest, what does the third switch do on your dashboard below the rear wiper switch? Turn the motorway on and off? Wink

That's the 'Motorway Stealth' switch Laughing Actually it arms/disarms the cruise control. Being a 4x4 they think it wise to have the option of de-activating the steering wheel cruise controls so that when off road in the rough you don't accidentally activate it at an innapropriate moment!

Darren,

Many thanks as always for your response. As I want to buy TomTom Nav 5 with the Traffic option (when it comes out!), I will also have a fitting for my Nokia 6310i. This is making me think that it may be best going down another route. From previous postings by DavidW and A4ACE, I was tempted to investigate the QuBit option. I subsequently rang Nemesis to ask if they had an installer in Hampshire. Having been promised a call back, I never heard from them again. I then contacted the garage that sold me the car last year (Audi Southampton) and they suggested Motronics. These guys were very helpful but they suggested a Parrot unit. However, the various reviews on the web are not positive. Too many decisions! Confused
