can someone please tell me how the 510 is powered when in car
is it usual usb type plug same as a pda or mini jack
also where is it situated
thinking of making one a permanent intalll so need to know
also as all buttons on front will aid fit
ps anyone know when the mio 136 version of this will be available
can you load tomtom software into it

The power adapter both car and AC use a mini jack. The jack is located in the bottom right of the unit (the adapters have a right angle connection) The windshield mounting bracket had a hole for the adapter and is really sturdy. I would suggest trying that before another type of mount.

Most Windows Ce based Gps products will only work
with the manufacturers maps
as the Base Program is Flashed onto the internal ROM
The Mitac will not run Medion Version of software and vice versa

Pda Based Gps units do not generally have Gps software on ROM
and You should be able to install Almost any software onto them

E.g. The Medion Pda/pna 100 will run
navman or medion or tomtom software as long as it is intended for
Pocket Pc
