I've not long since bought a Mio 168 pocketPC and CoPilot.
All seems good, it runs well, now I want to enhance the POI's etc.
All I can find are TomTom gizzits ~ POI Edit, POI-Warner, CheckPOInt, GPSAssist etc
Is the Mio 168 supported? if so where?
Regards

It has nothing to do with the Mio. What you are looking for is a way to transform the POIs in a format that is useable by CP5. I think we have instructions somewhere on this site.
THe proximity warning starts to get built into the programs TTN2004, Destinator 3.0.75, CoPilot - so you don;t need CheckPOInt and the others any more (unless you want to record your own POIs) _________________ Lutz

You can easily add your own POI's to CoPilot, such as the GATSO files that get updated on here once a month.
Using the desktop version of CPL5 use TOOL/MANAGE CUSTOM PLACES to import any Excel file or CSV file you've created. I use the Excel files contained in the monthly GATSO updates, and import them into CPL5 desktop version, then dowload the maps+POI's to the SD card using a card reader. If you want, you can tweak the GATSO files (like adding "at 40" etc) whilst still in Excel. Unfortunately you have to download ALL the maps even if you only change ONE POI !!!
Using a card reader only takes a few minutes...DON'T try updating the card while it's still in the PPC using ActiveSync as it will take a couple of hours!
I realise that all this is easier in TT3, but the CPL5 procedure is hardly arduous. _________________ Nokia E65 & TT Nav6 |

Helpful reply.
Yes, I have downloaded the Excel files and ported them across (but being a newbie did use the active sync and yes, it did take hours).
What hasn't happened is the .bmp's have not been recognised (although I copied them to what I thought was the right area) so all the GATSO's are shown with a pin symbol rather than a GATSO symbol.
I have seen a system where the GATSO’s show as symbols relating to their speed but guess I’ll have to learn to walk first (getting ANY symbol) before getting smart.
Some GATSO’s are recognised by CPL5 (it dongs and shows a driver safety screen) and some exist as pins (which you can see when stationary) but a) are not highlighted when moving and b) do not trigger the “dong” ~ I’m too new to understand why yet.
Thats why I was looking for a "tool" ~ I decided it was finger trouble.
Thanks for your help,
Merry Christmas
