Please help, i got GO yesterday and have loaded the cd this morning and my drive is making a clanging noise?
i have loaded plenty of cd's in the past with no problem
i'm a bit prehistoric and using windows 98
Can any of you good people please help me????? |

Does anything apart from a clanging noise happens? Does the software run? |

it runs until the bit where you can add of delete data then it starts the noise |

Have you tried it on a different PC? If it doesn't work take it back to the shop. |

Hope you know that windows 98 does NOT support USB. You need windows 98 SE Onwards . Then you need to get the 4.42 update from TomTom website. _________________ Using an A to Z

USB support came in with Windows 95 OSR 2 - but very unofficially. Most people never found USB reliable under Windows 95.
Windows 98 first edition did support USB, but it was still a little flaky - SE improved things no end. Probably more important is that there were quite a few duff USB host controller designs in machines that shipped with Windows 98 first edition.
