Card reader for high capacity CF & SD

Has anybody procured a card reader that writes to 1GB CF & SD? I have got one from Maplin (MD-001) but that only read/writes up to 256MB SD and 512MB CF. The support guy at Sitecom said that the read heads were the limitation.
