Hi all

Maybe I am someone with low standards, but I think that the Compaq 2210 with TT3 is great!!

It's my first GPS nav system, so I have nothing to compare with, and yeah I guess it does have a few mapping problems.... However, so does Multimap, so does my Collins road atlas, etc.

I know it's more expensive than those things, to say the least, but I for one am chuffed to bits with it!

Anyway, just wanted to add some balance to the forum, because if I'd have read some of the messages before buying it, I probably wouldn't have and that would be a shame...

Anyway, I don't mean to offend, and I would agree that there are a few niggles, but the technology is fantastic in my opinion, so let's not put people off buying it eh?

Just my opinion :D

Cheers
James

I also agree, and very useful when sync-ing up with the laptop.

Couple of programmes I couldn't do without though, "Storage tools" to sort out the CF/SD cards when necessary, and "Sprite Back-up". You need a back-up of the system in case of a crash, or just the battery going flat, and there is a problem with the stanard back-up - it hangs, and it is a TT file that causes the problem - TTBTDEV.DLL in the Windows folder.

Don't get caught out like I did, they only cost a few dollars each, and you can trial them both first anyway.
