Desperately want to update to my IPAQ !!!!
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.........

In essence, you download the latest 'Safety Camera' database. Inside you will find a number of files. For TomTom you need the .ov2 and .bmp files for each database type.
Assuming you do not need the Continental cameras then extract the 'PocketGPS_UK_GATSO.ov2' and 'PocketGPS_UK_REDLIGHT.ov2' files and their accompanying .bmp files (The Icon Bitmaps) and copy these to the Map Folder on your PocketPC (The name of this folder will change depending on which map you have installed).
Once you have done this then soft reset, launch TomTom and in the POI Properties section tick the boxes next to the PocketGPS_UK_GATSO and PocketGPS_UK_REDLIGHT entries to display them on the map.
This will not give you any alerts though, to do this you need a 3rd party POI Warning Utility, the simplest is CheckPOInt which is free, see here for instructions on installing it and a link to the download. _________________ Darren Griffin |
