Does Destinator 3 have walk routing (urban areas)?
If yes, how good is it? |

No, Destinator doesn't have a dedicated Walking mode. Use "Shortest" mode instead. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the answer.
Just to clarify, will shortest mode ignore streets direction then?
And will it use walking ways across, for instance, parks, when calculating the route? |

no, and no. If you want walking mode then use programs that explicitly offer them (like TomTom). Even they will not take you through parks, but at least they will ignore one way directions. _________________ Lutz

Thank you for the answer.
I have e-mailed Powerloc with this question a while ago, as I'm deciding yet which program to buy, but I got no answer. Moreover, the following phrase, from their site:
"Out of your car? With Destinator in your pocket you will never need paper maps again! Destinator offers the highest resolution, easy-to-follow maps with immediate access to any address and on-the-fly optimal route calculation between any two points."
can let the reader in doubt about their product having walking mode.
Again, thanks again for clarifying me about it! |
