i have never bought from them personally so cannot comment on their service but remember cheaper is not always better. You don’t give people much time you posted on 11:35 pm last night, someone really wants their new toy in a hurry :D . _________________ Regards

Hi Darren,
I've used the following a few times and have been satisfied. They generally seem to get much more praise than complaints, particularly on delivery time.
Price is slightly higher than your lowest, but they claim to price match (if they won't, they'll tell you why).

Concerning digi-uk, looking at their website, I would certainly want confirmation that they really do have the item in stock before ordering from them.
Cheers, Alan. _________________ Garmin GPS72H/76/60/45, Etrex H, Mapsource v6.5.

If you are in that much of a hurry PC world are selling them for £300 on the web and often they will let you go round and pick up from the store - then you can be playing with it tonight. Surprise surprise so is Currys. |

Good thinking bout the currys idea... dont have one in the town where I am working at the moment HOWEVER we have got a dixons :D
Sooo gave Dixons a ring and its £319.99 however you get something free (FREE TOAD INFORAD INFORAD GPS SPEED CAMERA WARNING SYSTEM) Not sure what it is or if I would use it, however Im sure it could be sold on ebay for at least £20???
ANYWAYS told them yeah sounds good.... so have reserved it and will collect it at lunch time. ;)
Will report back with my findings on it!
Thanks for all your help

One other thing... I asked the guy at Dixons what happens if theres problems with the unit and he said for the first 30days you just got back into the store and after that you contact Navman.
Sounded good to me as its only 5/10mins away and no hassle in sending it back via the post or anything like that.

Hi Darren
Dixon man - him speak !
Your contract is with the retailer and, if the equipment has a 12 month warranty then it is with them that you take up any problems - NOT (not ever) the manufacturer. In fact the sale of goods act make provision that if something goes wrong with your purchase within the first 6 months then there is no onus of proof that this fault existed at the time of purchase - it is presumed to have been there.
Ignore the rubbish about contacting Navman, as I said your contract is with the retailer and no amount of "terms and conditions" can take this right in law away from you

Steve,
Thanks for letting me know that mate... even though the Man speaks - I think I should get it from there as I really want it and can have it within the next hour. (Leaving in 20mins) Should be ok shouldnt it?????????? (Got me a bit worried now)
HOWEVER I will remember what you said.... fingers crossed I wont have any problems BUT... if I do then I will ensure I go straight back to the shop with reciept in hand!
Thanks again.... _________________ Noonster

Well I can't vouch for the equipment itself, but was just quoting the law regarding your purchase - Simply it comes down to poor staff training in the Dixons/Curry's/PC World/Comet type stores.
"Pay peanuts and you get a monkey"
Enjoy you new toy mate

There's just no telling some people is there! Lets just hope it doesn't go wrong or I guarantee you'll regret buying from DSG. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Not sure what you mean?? Noone has told me NOT to go to Dixons or the like... infact reading above it was said that they have some.
I collected it on lunch and it looks really nice... nice and small etc - If I do have probs I will go back to the store with the reciept and speak to them. If they dont listen or try and fob me off then we will go from there.
Sooo Its not that I didnt take your advice, its that noone said in here not to buy from them until I already had! - Anyways should be ok... FINGERS CROSSED etc...
Thanks for all the help.
