So back to my BaseCamp being the issue then. Thanks although not sure where to go from here, might try an uninstall then reinstall! _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Now it's really getting interesting
I've just downloaded the database and simply used POI loader to create the .gpi file and BaseCamp shows the speed limits correctly as 50mph, however if I run the same data though K's convertor it reverts to the 40/70 I was seeing earlier
More experimenting coming up ... _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I wonder ... the difference is the way BaseCamp displays the name. The correct ones (created just using POI loader) are displayed in BaseCamp as SE-REDSPEED:164704 and SE-GATSO:172935. The ones created by the convertor, and then POI Loader, display as SE-REDSPEED:164704#70 and SE-GATSO:172935#40
Is that # followed by a number screwing it up somehow?
Dales though had no issue using the same file that is giving me these strange effects in BaseCamp ... so @Dales, which BaseCamp version are you using? I'm on 4.6.2 ...
And is it just those cameras? Can anyone else give me a camera number where the speed limit has been changed recently? _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I'm also on BaseCamp 4.6.2 and also use the latest version of the Krafty Kremmen Konverter and have no such problems.

... and furthermore I use the Direction Converter as well, whose output (via the GPX Converter) shows correctly in BaseCamp, either from the device or a clone.
Now the Direction Converter uses a different PGSW download file from the stock Garmin file for the normal GPX converter.
So I downloaded the stock Garmin file and put it through the GPX converter (with no Direction process).
And the output shows correctly in BaseCamp (SE Gatso 172935#50 and SE Redspeed 164704#50).
Note the #50 is present in BaseCamp.

When you used PoiLoader (a) on the raw PGPSW file , and (b) on the GPX Converter output, did you get the same number of Poi's generated in both cases (according to the PoiLoader's "Success" message) ??

Any chance you could send me that file? Would like to see how that displays on mine. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Very strange. Are you both using the same version of the Converter and POILoader.
Not that it should make any difference.
Also, as you are in PM stage have you compared those individual camera lines to make sure that POIloader has identical gpx cameras to deal with? _________________ DashCam:

I installed BC then connected my 2599:
Same exercise on my 2597:
The only thing I noticed is that I had a load of cameras in the 'Unlisted' data section. What's that?
So Suss, what have you done ? _________________ DashCam:

I have no idea, I'll do some more probing later today. As for unlisted data, that's simply data that you don't have in a list, normally caused when you select 'Remove from list' rather than Delete. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Okay, here's what my 2508 shows ...
and the same area with my 2508 plugged into my desktop and viewed in BaseCamp
I cannot work out why. I've searched using windows for any other .gpi file on my 2508 and it's sd card and there simply aren't any. I'm giving up _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |
