In that case, I seriously suggest that you change your AV/firewall setup.

There is no spyware in any of my software Rolling Eyes

After switching from Garmin's speed camera POIs to PocketGPSWorld's speed camera POIs I'm finding some POIs don't provide a chime/alert on my nuvi 660 like they used to with the Garmin POIs.

They should do. You might want to start another thread on this problem. Not using the Single File Database are you?

Help!
I am having Camera Manager not logged in to PocketGPSworld.com problems again. It used to only happen at work where the LAN is behind a Proxy Firewall. Now it happens at home (Virgin Media) or on mobile web&walk as well. I cannot turn my laptops'd Vista firewall off to test that, due to policy. Fairly sure it is my machine now, I suspect some patch or policy has changed it.

I can download the database, but which one? I have a Garmin i3, both databases look different from the one that Camera manager downloaded for me. (I have just found it to be the same as the generic CSV)

How do I manually get Camera Manager to read a downloaded database? Downloading the combined CSV file, and renamaing it, Camera Manager sees it and reports "updates ready" but still reports as the old out of date "Current Database" The POI's aren't getting updated! New .GPX files are generated, these are not what the i3 needs!

Can anybody help please?

I've been using this utility for a few weeks now and it is a great little program. The only gripe I have is the length of time it takes to download the database. Is it normal for it to take over 15 minutes to download the update with POI Loader? The unmodified file downloads in a few seconds. I am using the latest POI Loader, and I have a Nuvi 610T.

TIA.

Yes. If you compare the raw database (476 kb) to the files CM outputs (10 Mb) you'll see the CM file (GPX files) are huge by comparision. Once these are loaded into POILoader they ahev to be processed into a GPI file. The length of time this takes depends on the power and speed of your PC. The actual transfer of the resulting GPI file doesn't take that long.

I've got Camera Manager running in the system tray but it refuses to admit that I'm logged into PocketGPSWorld even though I very definitely am logged in.

I've tried doing a force refresh and restarting CM but to no avail.

I'm using IE 7 under Vista Ultimate x64.

Any suggestions as to how I can get CM to work? It looks like just what I'm wishing for...

Personally I wouldn't touch Vista, although others have got Camera Manager to work with it - have a look backwards through this thread to see how they did it... Wink

I'm using Vista Ultimate x64 and Camera Manager works fine for me, didn't need to tweak or do anything special.

I don't normally use IE though so all I did was open IE, login here and then close IE. That's it.

Right, a trawl through this thread turned up some useful advice on page 32, namely, turn off Protected Mode, flush the temporary internet files and the cookies, restart IE and try again. And this worked for me Smile

All that remains is a quick test drive to check everything is hunky dory - and comments in this thread leave me in very little doubt about that - and then it's time to see if I can remember the details of my PayPal account Smile

Are you logged in with Internet Explorer?

Is you subscription up to date?

Also do you have POILoader installed? Have you used it yet?
