I'll have a look at the possibilities. I need to make sure I have all the expected one present and that the wrong one is definately 'extra'. _________________ Satnav:

New version 2016.11.01.48 is in testing.
1) Upon unzipping the database and it identifies any CSV file(s) that it considers shouldn't be there it will offer a choice, one file at a time:
'Yes' will remove the file from the list and will continue down to the end. End result should be 3 green boxes.
'No' will not remove the file but will continue checking offering the same option for any more files found. End result will likely be pink boxes.
'Cancel' will break out of the checking routine.
2) All your user setting are now saved to a file upon exit. Saving your settings has always been done dynamically, but, when installing a new version you needed to start again from scratch.
Of course, this new install will still need to be manually set, but once set no more installs will require the mass setup, only the working directory.
Once you set your working directory to the same as it was before it will drag in all your previous settings.
I'm just waiting on the testing dept who has been dragged out shopping

Pleased to report it works for me. The only adjustment I had to make was to change the default application on my Win 10 desktop to the Internet Explorer to get the Help file to read properly. Seems it defaulted back to Notepad and all I saw was the actual code. Interestingly Edge did not like it either.
I am at a loss as to stop the Garmin flyouts appearing. I have read the PGPSW Help file but am not sure if that is the right thing. I have done what Garmin said but they still appear. Got to be me.
Thanks all
PS: I complained to Garmin that their map still had totally wrong info about my own road which had closed off in 1992(!). I actually received a proper response and an apology from the US. A great change from TomTom. |

They'll probably correct it then HS2 will make it wrong again.

Just a small change.
I've been asked quite a few times where the program is installed to as it's not in Windows/Program Files.
Correct, due to the amateur version of Visual Studio I'm now using the only install option is a Microsoft technology called 'ClickOnce'. Bit of a pain but it works and is very clean to uninstall.
The path looks complicated but that's Microsoft for you:
Version 2016.11.08.49
If you install this after version 48 then all your previous settings, apart from the Working Directory, should be dragged back in.

Hi
You guys are way more clever than me and I can't believe the amount of work that has gone in to this
So thanks for the development
But........................
The last thing I want to do is cause any offense, but is there any way to turn off the voice warnings and replace with a single 'bong/beep' to warn of an impeding camera (not bothered about over speed either)
Or have I missed something in the settings
Thanks _________________ Garmin nuvi 2595LMT

One way would be to edit all the .wav files and replace the voice announcement with a bong.
Audacity is a free sound editing software that will do the job.
Unless Captain Kremmen knows a quicker way. |
