Post the file name including extension for your camera file, Icon file and sound file.
Post it EXACTLY as you have it on your unit |

Its probably still down to a file name problem
The tree files must be named exactly the same apart from the extencion
Gatso,csv
Gatso.bmp
Gatso.spx
Also make sur your file options are set to show the file eztension so that you dont have ie Gatso.csv.csv |

You download the files you need from the dropdown box at the top of the page (just above the instructions link)
However, does anyone have the wav and bmp files or a location of them to download. It appears the website linked earlier is no longer up and running? |

Option2 is the most valueable information i have come across in the three weeks that i've been trying to get locations onto my pb400 Paul80 wrote: | when I tried to convert the files in the console it came up with language not installed or something along those lines, must admit to guessing abit as I am at work at the mo.
I am more than likely doing something wrong but what I ask?
Any info for this would be great
Cheers |
What the problem is that Packard Bell are now shipping GPS400's with software v5.5 but are still supplying Installation CD's with Console for v5.1.
5.5 has a different directory structure to 5.1
On 5.1 the Favourites folder is DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Favorites
On 5.5 the Favourites folder is DestinatorApps\Destinator\UserData\Favorites
So when Console for 5.1 tries to install the favourites it cannot find the installation directory and trough’s up the language error.
Their are 2 ways around this
Option 1
In your GPS400's destinatorapps/destinator directory you create a new directory called common, within that directory you create another directory called Favorites
So you will have
DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Favorites
And
DestinatorApps\Destinator\UserData\Favorites
You then use console to convert and install to the first directory then use explorer to move all the files into the second
It’s a bit long winded but it does work.
Option 2
Use console as normal but just select the convert option of loading your POI file
This will create a DAT file of the same name as your POI.
Do not use the down load option as it will delete the DAT file.
One you have created all your DAT files use explorer to move them from the
C:\Program Files\DestinatorApps\Collection\Console\IndepIndep\Favorites
directory to the DestinatorApps\Destinator\UserData\Favorites directory on your unit.
Either way works and will do until Packard Bell get their act in order and start supplying the correct software[/quote] |

Hi, I'm in the same boat as this chap.
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=62908&highlight=destinator+nd
I've followed the guide by Paul80 and uploaded the required files.
• Gatso_Camera_Ahead.csv
• Redlight_Camera_Ahead.csv
• Specs_Camera_Ahead.csv
• Mobile_Camera_Ahead.csv
• Temp_Camera_Ahead.csv
The console took these no bother by the way.
I have put the Pic and sound files as well, these may not be in the correct place, I think the file structure has changed yet again.
When I start the satnav up there is nothing in the favourites, so nothing to select.
Can anybody help?
cheers |

Hi all,
I'm not sure whether you guys experience it the same way I'm experiencing it for the moment, but to download Speed camera's is really confusing, especially for people with basic knowledge of such tool upragdes.
More particularly, I am using a Packard Bell Compasseo 600 and I would like to download the speed camera software from the internet.
Plenty of questions still arise when reading these discussions carefully:
Where can I find the files to download for speed cameras for my device?
How do I know which files I must download? Is it manadatory to pay for it or can these upgrades be donwloaded for free (as I saw the notification that downloads could be made after subscription on a webpage with visa...)
Help ?!
Many thanks to all willing to help me out... |
