The news neither bodes well for current owners of the models affected OR for the image of Navigon itself in a wide climate of choice.
Navigon need to do something, a gesture, promotion of some kind to maintain its small share of the market once they have the system up and running 100% and not release some excuse of a Beta product again that's not fully tested.

I see on Navigon's International site that yesterday there was a news flash about a Beta version of Fresh for Mac users being available. Anyone interested? _________________ David

Just seen this post today on Navigon's Facebook thread in response to a query about UK Live Traffic on the iPhone. If it's true I certainly hope that the PNDs will be updated as well! Quote: | "they (Navigon) advised 10days ago that currently at testing stage and should be available within two weeks - by Wednesday at this timescale
One of the users did see traffic work on his route for one day and that is when Navigon confirmed this timescale - fingers crossed - not long now!!!!!" |

Navigon have just announced LIVE services are now live for the UK on their Facebook page.
What makes you think people are abandoning the 8450? _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Not sure if anyone's interested (or are a lot brighter than me and already know anyway ), but I was interested in what happens if you take the traffic-rerouting option when warned of a problem, and the problem clears while you are on the diversion. So I asked Navigon - they confirm that you then get put back to your profiled route ("fastest", etc) automatically.
I assume that this applies with both TMC and Live Traffic.
They also confirmed that mobile cameras have been added to their camera database. _________________ David

A bit of info about POI Warner from navigating.de Quote: | We are working on a scalable interface but the menu components are fixed in size at the moment. The only thing we can scale at the moment is the green/red POI-Warner status button in the corner of the screen. | Probably no one's interested, but I can PM the details about scaling the status button if anyone wants. _________________ David
